Translated means: “At the end of the letter”, this musical was written by André Simard in the early 80’s especially for schoolchildren, and had been performed on several occasions prior to 1987.

It tells of the friendship of two teenage girls. Through the correspondence they exchange, Marie-Josée and Nathalie tell us about their experiences. Parent-child relationships, freedom, love, sexuality, separations, school and loneliness are some of the topics tackled in the course of the performance. The style of the play attaches great importance to music, dance and humour.

The Nouvelle Compagnie Théâtrale (NCT) performed Au Pied de la Lettre at the Denise-Pelletier Theatre from 7th April to 14th May 1987 (matinees only).

It was directed by René Richard Cyr, and starred Suzanne Lemoine, Anne Dorval, Roy Dupuis, Marie-Yolaine Alber, Luc-Martial Dagenais and Luc Guérin.
